Call for Contributions to build up CAIN Europe
A big quantity of information related to Symbolic and Algebraic Computation
is already available in CAIN Europe, but WE NEED YOUR HELP to make
much more useful information available.
Type of Information
We are presently collecting 6 different types of information:
- Personal Pages:
A Personal Page is a page on the World-Wide-Web
that provides information about an individual dealing with Symbolic
and Algebraic Computation in some way: as a researcher, a user,
a teacher,... A Personal Page typically contains general information
like the name, team, postal and electronic address, etc., as well as
scientific information like a short description of research activities,
the articles published, etc.
- Home Pages of Research Teams:
The Home Page of a Research Team is a page on
the World-Wide-Web that provides information about a
research team dealing with Symbolic and Algebraic Computation.
The Home Page of a Research team typically contains general information
like the name, postal and electronic address, etc., of the team as
well as scientific information like a short description of research
activities, the articles published, etc. .
- BibTex files:
A bibliographic file in the BibTex format
whose content is to be integrated in the BibTex Bibliographic
Database.
- Preprints: The Preprints Virtual Database gives the means
to access the content of preprints all around the world. It also contains publication
information when preprints are published.
- Applications of Computer Algebra: If you are using Symbolic and Algebraic Computation
for applications.
- Education: If you have some information related to Symbolic and Algebraic Computation
in Education: educational material, curricula, on-going projects, softwares, journals, newsletters.
Way of providing the information
You can make your information available in CAIN Europe in two different ways:
- By providing the URL (i.e. the Web address) of an existing page.
This is the easiest method. It gives the means to make the information available in CAIN Europe
(via a hyperlink) while you still continue to maintain the page locally.
- Using CAIN's Repositories: a Repository (there is
one for each type of information, except Preprints) is a place where you can create a new Web page
via a fill in form and maintain it in CAIN Europe,
i.e. update and delete it later on if necessary. In particular, the BibTex Repository allows
to create individual entries by document type according to the BibTex specifications.
A Repository should
be used when a page cannot be maintained locally.
Your Contribution
Please choose the type of information you want to make available in CAIN Europe
and the way to provide it.
