A short presentation

The SAC Newsletter's aim is to disseminate

useful information related to Symbolic and Algebraic Computation among users, researchers, teachers.
news from the partners of the European SAC Network.

The target group of readers consists of researchers, engineers, teachers, and users of systems dealing with Symbolic and Algebraic Computation.

The SAC Newsletter will be published twice a year (in the Spring and the Fall)

in electronic form on the world wide web (main format).
in printed form (limited number of copies printed for publicity).

It will be funded by RIACA, Amsterdam in the framework of the European SAC Network until december 1997 and by advertisements and sponsors from 1998 on.

Its editorial board is composed of Franz Winkler (RISC, Linz), Tomas Recio (University of Cantabria, Santander) and Thierry Van Effelterre (RIACA, Amsterdam).

The SAC Newsletter is not a refereed periodical: it is up to the members of the editorial board to decide among themselves whether a submitted article is accepted or not. This will shorten the delay between submission and publication.
