Talks
The group of participants consisted of people with a large variety of experience: from the fresh PhD student to the experienced researcher. This created a very lively atmosphere at the workshop.
The main aim of the workshop was to encourage postgraduate students and researchers to use the many facilities that GAP offers as tools to attack research problems. Only time can tell if this aim has been achieved. However, it became clear during the workshop that the combination of lectures and practical sessions in a computing laboratory was very successful. The number of people attending the talks and afternoon sessions remained practically constant throughout the workshop.
Organizing a similar workshop is planned for the future.
